On Tuesday 3rd January our beloved Dusty passed away and he will be sadly missed my many.
There will be a funeral service to celebrate his life at the Heritage Barrier Funeral Parlour in Gordonvale at 10am, Friday 13th January.
A civil engineer and selftaught artist who used the tools of his former trade to sculpt marble into exquisite shapes and figurines, his objects of beauty had another purpose – funding medical research to benefit Australians.
Dusty was one of Australia’s most generous benefactors, having sponsored 36 Churchill Fellowships since 1993.
More about Dusty’s great work is in an article on the Churchill Trust Website.
